You'll drive to Masai Mara from Nairobi and as a rule of thumb, your driver will stopover at ViewPoint so you can have your first encounter with the Great Rift Valley. Your journey will proceed to Masai Mara, where wildebeests darken the grasslands every year in their migration from Serengeti.

The Big 5 game, apes, lakes, birds, reptiles will deliver a stellar game viewing experience during your 2 days stay at the Mara. You'll then depart for Lake Nakuru.

Lake Nakuru has a slightly different aura. While Masai Mara is mostly vast grassy plains, Lake Nakuru has the lake taking up a third of the park. The rest of the landscape is covered in marsh, euphorbia and cactus-like trees with occasional rocky outcrops.

Lake Nakuru hosts over 500 bird species which will serenade you with birdsong in the 3 days you'll be here. You'll find plenty of water-loving mammals such as waterbucks and hippo as well as wild animals.
